Question

The turnout to MOPAC's public meeting organised in Harrow at the Sangat Centre in Harrow to consult on the new policing model was pathetic in that only 10 members of public attended (including 6 members of HPCCG and 4 from the CPEG). Can you confirm how much was paid by MOPAC for the hire of Sangat Centre, advertising and refreshments for the meeting? Also advise how much of publicity done to encourage members of the public to attend?

I have previously commented that the public attendance at the Sangat Centre was disappointing. However the consultation was far from pathetic; the quality of the debate was high and informative.

The cost of the meeting at the Sangat Centre was £100 for room hire and £30 for refreshments.

The meeting was advertised by the London Borough of Harrow at no cost to either MOPAC or the Metropolitan Police Service.
