The recent Living Wage Research for KPMG identified that 70% of those working in London as sales assistants and retail cashiers are paid below the London Living Wage. You have persuaded a few retailers to sign up to the London living wage; what will you do to encourage other major retailers to pay their employees the living wage?

I have made several manifesto commitments and public commitments on the London Living Wage. I am working with a number of stakeholders to improve the take up of the London Living Wage across all sectors including the retail sector.
