Will TfL be insisting that contractors working on the rebuild of London Bridge station have HGV's which have the same high standard of safety features as those involved in the Crossrail project?

The rebuilding of London Bridge Station is a Network Rail project, and I am sure that they will want to adopt the highest possible standards of vehicle safety in the process of delivering this project. I have asked Peter Hendy to write to Network Rail's Chief Executive, David Higgins, to ensure that he is aware of how TfL and Crossrail have managed to achieve such standards in equivalent projects and ask him to sign Network Rail up to that standard.

TfL's approach to safety standards is a development of those already in use by Crossrail, and is documented on TfL's website at:
