Question

Do you a strategy for the location and number of exceptionally-large shopping centres in London? Have you or your officers considered intervening in breaking any deadlocked shopping centre ownership battles and the possible provision of compensatory planning approval elsewhere in London, thereby over-riding local, legitimate planning considerations?

The London Plan sets out clear policies for the management of London's network of town centres. I consider all planning applications in the light of their individual circumstances and in the light of London Plan policies.
