I recently contacted TfL on behalf of a constituent to ask that they investigate what more can be done to stop excessive speeding on the A10 (Church street to Lordship Lane) and that they consider my constituent's suggestion of reducing the speed limit to 30mph. TfL have responded and informed me that they are concerned about the number of collisions occurring on the A10 between its junction with the A406 and the Roundway. They are carrying out a study to identify the causes of the collisions and to consider whether a scheme could improve safety for all road users.

Early this year local residents and local councillors invited me to visit the A10's junction with the Roundway, along with a representative from TfL. Residents are extremely concerned about the speed of traffic at this junction and throughout the full length of Roundway to where it joins Lordship Lane. Can you therefore ask that TfL's study is expanded to include all of this junction and the Roundway?

I have asked that TfL, in addition to assessing road safety issues on the A10 between the A406 and White Hart Lane, to also give consideration to conditions on the A10 from White Hart Lane to The Roundway.
