Question

I was disappointed to find no mention of equalities in any of your manifestoes during the election campaign. Will you commit to rigorously assessing the impact on women, BAME communities, Londoners with disability and London's elders of all your policies and spending decisions in the coming term?

I represent and unite all Londoners rather than seeking to divide communities. London is one city, with all Londoners - regardless of their age, sexual orientation, religion, gender, race or disability - being able to benefit from the implementation of my policies to create jobs and growth. My manifesto Uniting Londoners sets out aspects of my policies that are particularly relevant to a range of disadvantaged groups. Not only will I deliver on the commitments that I make in that manifesto, but I will also ensure that my policies and decisions are subject to the relevant provisions of the Equality Act 2010.
