The Government has been very helpful in providing resources to improve air quality in London. The Department for Transport has given London £5m to establish the Clean Air Fund of innovative measures, £5m towards the cost of retrofitting up to 1,000 buses with selective catalytic reduction equipment and, through the Green Bus Fund, has given over £18million to fund hybrid buses over the past four years.

I continue to have discussions with the Government about what additional action it can take to improve air quality at the national level.
