Question

Last year you neglected to carry out an Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) on the rise in passenger fares on public transport despite the fact that your 'Equal Life Chances' for all document clearly pledges to carry out an EIA on all decisions.

If you had carried out that EIA you would have found that the decision disproportionately effected women and the BAME communities.

Have you carried out an EIA on the decision to put up fares this year?

If so, will you share the findings of the EIA with me?

My decision on fares was right and appropriate.

I have not been neglectful of equalities issues. Both this year's and last's mayoral decision papers contained analysis on these issues.
