My proposals for the Olympic Park Legacy Corporation, published for consultation on 7 February, make very clear my expectation that the new body will enjoy a close relationship with the four local authorities spanned by its boundary, building on the good relationship that OPLC enjoys with them now. In particular, I have proposed that borough members will sit on the Board and Planning Committee of the MDC and that its planning functions would be discharged in collaboration with local authorities. I expect that additional opportunities for collaboration will be highlighted through the consultation process.
