My Air Quality Strategy already includes a number of local measures designed to provide reassurance that hotspots in central London will meet EU limit values for PM10 in 2011. Many of these are now underway, including trials of dust suppressants, redeployment of the lowest emitting buses and measures to reduce vehicle idling. Other measures will be introduced over the next few months. Since my Air Quality Strategy has already been through a public consultation process, there is no need for a further consultation process.
