There are currently 250 charge points in London, distributed across 15 boroughs and the City of London, in public car parks and on-street locations.

TfL is working in partnership with London boroughs and private sector partners to deliver an integrated network, known as Source London, of at least 1,300 publicly accessible charge points located on-street, at retail and leisure outlets, in public car parks, and transport hubs by 2013. In addition, charge points are being provided in new developments as a condition of the planning permission.

TfL is also working with the Clinton Foundation and the Mayor's Electric 10 to engage businesses and other organisations to encourage installation of a substantial network of workplace charge points.
