Question

The government has promised to review crime recording and the NCRS to 'remove bureaucratic accountability.' Would the Mayor support having a two-tiered approach to crime and incident recording, which split into serious and local crime?

Too much police time is spent filling in forms for statistical purposes. This must change.

We need our police on the streets and therefore fully support a two-tier approach nationally focusing on serious crime. All other crime should be assessed and dealt with locally.
