The free of charge use of space allocated to the 12 staff will be used to hold events in furtherance of either the Mayor's priorities or their GLA responsibilities.

As per the MD, the allocation cannot be used for party political purposes including fundraising and the purpose of the event would need to be specified in advance to Facilities & Squares Management and approved. Event attendees cannot be charged for tickets and there can be no sale of goods taking place. The rooms would be charged at the full hire rate for any such events were this to happen.

This replaces the previous allocation that the Mayor's office held of 100 free of charge allocations per year.
