My draft Air Quality Strategy sets out the measures that I intend implementing to reduce NO2 concentrations in central London. The final version of the Strategy will be published later in the autumn. NO2 is a challenge that faces the country as a whole, and not just London, and it is clear that action in London alone won't allow limit values to be met by 2015. I am currently discussing the actions that need to be taken at a national level with the Government. The costs of measures included in my Strategy are currently being assessed as part of business planning processes. This will inform the discussions I am having with the Government on funding that will allow the Strategy to be fully implemented.
