From October 2010, packages of measures will start to be implemented at the three interconnected corridors that include locations at risk of not meeting PM10 limit values in 2011. These are: Marylebone Road and Euston Road, Victoria Embankment through Upper Thames Street to Tower Hill and Marble Arch to Hyde Park Corner. The packages will include street cleaning and the application of dust suppressants, action to reduce idling and ongoing action to smooth traffic flow. It is likely that some of these measures will be applied in other locations depending on their effectiveness.
