As far as you are aware, what is the timetable and process for the UK's application for a time extension to delay compliance with EU limit values for nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and has it been agreed between the GLA and Defra?

My officials meet regularly with Defra officials to discuss the expected time extension application for NO2. In that we are working with Government on the development of an action plan to meet NO2 limit values and we expect the Government to consult on this later in 2010. However we are not aware of a concrete timetable, although this is something we are keen to have as soon as possible.
