At present approximately 8000 bus stops (representing 56% of bus stops on borough roads) still require some minor work to make them fully accessible, although in reality most of these would still be accessible to most passengers, other than those with serious mobility problems. These works are forecast to cost approximately £37.9m. In the current Business Plan, there is a target to make 65% of all bus stops (across both the Transport for London Road Network and on Borough-managed roads) accessible by 2017/18.
