In a letter dated the 13th July 2009 (your ref: MGLA270509-9778) you stated that there were currently 439 pedestrian crossings at junctions which currently do not meet 2005 Department for Transport safety guidance over the minimum time for pedestrians to cross. Could you please publish a table, broken down by each London borough, showing which junctions currently do not meet the 2005 guidance and the dates as to which Transport for London expect each junction to meet the safety guidance.

Since my letter of 13 July 2009, timings at a further 21 sites have been bought in line with TfL's current traffic signal design standards. Of the original 777 junctions with pedestrian facilities identified, 418 sites require updating and these will be upgraded over the next three years. TfL will publish the list of junctions shortly, in accordance with your request.
