The 2009 study entitled 'Understanding the contribution made by bus users to the economic health and viability of London's town centres', undertaken by Synovate on behalf of TfL, looks at the travel behaviour and attitudes of people accessing town centres in London. This is due to be published by the end of this year.

In 2007 TfL commissioned research to specifically examine Outer London Travel Patterns. This research looked at how travel patterns vary by factors such as destination (ie town centre type), journey length and journey purpose across Outer London.
