In 2006, TfL carried out pigeon proofing to bridges where a nuisance to pedestrians had been identified. The need for repairs to these measures is identified during regular inspections of each bridge and any necessary repair works are carried out as soon as practicable. TfL does not pigeon proof all existing bridges but a decision is taken on a case by case basis as appropriate and the measures applied are specific to each site.
