Your answer to question 1417/2009 stated that without the approval of the Transport & Works Act Order for the Docklands Light railway extension, only 1,500 homes can be built and occupied at the Barking Riverside development. However press reports state that the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation and Barking and Dagenham have approved plans for 3,300 homes for the site. Can you explain this?

The limits on development relating to the provision of transport infrastructure in the section 106 agreement for the whole of the Barking Riverside site still apply. These have not been altered by the recent approvals of detailed planning permission for the first two phases of housing within the site.
