Currently most air quality initiatives in London are not targeted at specific locations but rely on bringing down overall levels of pollution. As part of the development of my new Air Quality Strategy, the cost and potential effectiveness of a range of options specifically to tackle air pollution at hotspots is being considered. Any such interventions would complement wider-scale initiatives. Specific proposals will be presented to the Assembly as part of the Assembly and Functional Bodies consultation on the initial draft of my Air Quality Strategy this summer.
