Question

I have been contacted by residents living near the junction of Streatham High Road and Becmead Avenue complaining that this junction regularly gets blocked by HGV's getting stuck across the junction. There's a (faded) yellow box there and they would like a camera to enforce the box junction. Please will you ask TfL officers to investigate?

The yellow box junction at Streatham High Road and Becmead Avenue has been enforced in the past using a portable enforcement camera. It would not be cost-effective for TfL to install a new fixed camera at this site, however TfL will ensure the location is included on the portable camera's deployment schedule over the coming weeks to address this problem. TfL also intends to repaint the box junction as part of the Streatham High Road -improvement scheme. TfL anticipate that the box junction will be repainted by June 2009.
