The Croxley Rail Link is a proposal being developed by Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) to re-route and extend the Metropolitan line to Watford Junction.

The scheme is dependent on a central government grant and, having secured regional government approval, HCC is working with the Department for Transport to secure a funding decision from them in early 2009.

Whilst TfL has no capital funding for the Croxley link in its business plan, it remains supportive of the scheme in principle and will be ready to respond should funding be secured.
