When the King's Cross development is finished, my Islington constituents will have to circle the station to enter on the South West Corner. I therefore welcome the letter that your Director of Transport Policy has written to the King's Cross Railway Lands Group (KXRLG) saying that Network Rail should fund the proposed footbridge. Will TfL consider funding the bridge if KXRLG sticks to its opinion that it falls 'to TfL and GLA to ensure the right outcome?'

Given the financial constraints within this it is clear that this is the responsibility of Network Rail and also considering the funding constraints in TfL's business plan I do not consider it appropriate for TfL to fund this scheme. However, I will continue to lobby Network Rail to deliver this much needed project.
