Question

Why is it deemed necessary to close the steps at Snaresbrook Station that lead from the High Street to the westbound platform, after 10am? Are TfL aware that elderly people often have difficulty climbing the stairs to the eastbound platform and then have to negotiate the footbridge to get to the westbound side?

The secondary entrance to Snaresbrook station is open and staffed only during the morning peak. Unfortunately, there is currently not sufficient demand after 10am to justify the cost of staffing this entrance and keeping it open throughout the day.
