Question

Will you ask Transport for London to look again at their decision taken during a review in February 2007 with regard to a proposal to alter the route of either the K2 or K3 bus to go to Kingston Hospital via Cambridge Road, Kingston Road and Douglas Road instead of Coombe Road, thus making the route available to an estate with a high proportion of social housing?

Douglas Road is served by route K5. Cambridge Road and Kingston Road are served by route 131, running every 8-12 minutes. The suggested diversion of route K2 or K3 via these roads would mean longer journeys for existing passengers and increased costs. Although not all stops in the vicinity have a direct link to the hospital, given the existing services and the impact on existing passengers, TfL do not consider that this diversion could be justified.
