The cost of policing Heathrow Airport, as reflected in the MPS budget, for the last five years is shown below. Cost 2004/05 £33.3m 2005/06 £35.7m 2006/07 £43.0m 2007/08 £40.6m 2008/09 £43.4m

Responsibility currently sits in Central Operations. Prior to April 2007 the responsibility sat with Specialist Operations. The budgets include overheads that are managed by support departments such as HR and Resources.
