Question

Would the Mayor support calls for a new bus route for the people of Finchley: North Finchley - Finchley Memorial Hospital - Warner Leisure Centre - East Finchley - Kenwood - Royal Free Hospital? Many Finchley residents are now being referred to the Royal Free hospital, but access by public transport is quite difficult. Routes between East and North Finchley are also badly served at the moment.

I am informed that passengers travelling to the Royal Free Hospital from Finchley can do so via route 263, which serves North Finchley, Finchley Memorial hospital, Warner Leisure Centre and East Finchley, interchanging at Archway for route C11 direct to the hospital. I do understand, however, that a direct route is always preferable and I will ask TfL to investigate the feasibility of introducing one. I will also ensure they liaise closely with the constituency member and local council.
