I am happy to make available the evidence my officers in GLA and TfL provide to the Government to support the development of their action plan once it has been prepared. This will include analysis of air quality emissions in London and policy interventions to reduce emissions. I will also make our views on the action plan known when it is released for public consultation. This will provide a transparent account of the discussions I, and my officers, have had with the government on this issue. I am happy to share other information, where relevant, however due to the potential complexity of this request and the linkages with my new Air Quality Strategy (which I intend to publish in Spring 2009), this may have to be subject to any exemptions which may restrict its release.
