Several meetings have taken place between officers representing the GLA Group (GLA, TfL and LDA) as well as individually between GLA, TfL and LDA officers with Thames Water to discuss all the issues that you list. Further meeting are planned. -Thames Water would like to use biodiesel produced from oil, fats and tallow for the desalination plant but has not yet found a supplier that can provide the required amount. Thames Water has offered to make sites available for renewable energy trials. -The LDA is discussing with Thames Water the potential for both supplying decentralised energy in the London Gateway. -GLA and Thames Water are developing a programme for work on water efficiency. Two Boroughs have already expressed interest in collaborating. -TfL and Thames Water are working together to agree the circumstances when it is practical and sensible to plate excavations when work is not in progress. This will be followed by trials at appropriate sites in the autumn. TfL and Thames Water are reviewing all known flooding sites to see remedial work can be jointly planned.
