The LDA has imposed a number of requirements which are summarised in the guidance note on the London Youth Offer. This has been widely circulated and placed on the LDA and GLA websites. The guidance makes clear that boroughs should use a range of service providers including in particular third sector organisations with a good track record in involving young people and their families in service, design and delivery, minority-led faith groups and community-based organisations. The GLA and LDA have reinforced these requirements at workshops held for all 33 boroughs last month. We have also had briefing sessions with third sector and community networks.

I expect boroughs to publicise the availability of their £73 million allocations from my and the Government's £79 million Youth Offer and to involve relevant groups and young people in decisions about how the money is used. A list of borough contacts is available on the GLA and LDA websites.

I will be making further announcements shortly about my Youth Offer which will provide further opportunities for the voluntary and community service organisations.
