Due to Thames Water works on Ivydale Rd the P12 bus is currently diverted. These works will be continuing until at least May - and due to complications very likely even longer. Residents have complained to me that no temporary bus stop has been provided along the diversion and they face a long walk to the nearest stop. Will TfL introduce a temporary stop on the route?

The P12 is being diverted via Inverton Road and Limesford Road whilst the Thames Water works are being completed. TfL considered introducing temporary stops on Limesford Road but was unable to find a suitable location.

TfL has discussed with LB Southwark, the local highway authority, whether temporary stops could be installed at the junction of Inverton Road and Lanbury Road for journeys in each direction. Southwark will need to provide additional double yellow lines to prevent parking at the junction before stops could be installed, and are currently considering this proposal.

I have asked TfL to update you on the investigation.
