Question

The 6-month trial by TfL introducing a 07:00-19:00 bus lane on the A10 northbound carriage way between White Hart Lane and the Cambridge roundabout is coming to a close. Local residents have reported that the experiment caused severe congestion at all times on the A10 as well as additional traffic using Chequers Way to access the roundabout via Ostliffe Road. They feel that the trial opening hours have severly inconvenienced them, more so than non-local drivers who tend to keep out of bus lanes as a matter of course. Could this particular bus lane therefore be reversed to its original hours of 16:00-19:00?

This experimental traffic order lasts for 18 months, 11 of which have now expired. Data is being collected in order to inform a decision on whether or not to make the change permanent. Local feedback will be taken into account as part of the review process. A final decision on the bus lane operational hours will be taken at the end of the trial period.
