Question

The problem with that one, Mr Mayor, is that going to Paris or Brussels, you can fly there for £50, and if you take Eurostar it costs you over double that to go just one way.

That is the reason for Government to intervene to regulate the prices in the same way we created the Congestion Charge in order to change the pattern of travel. That is a failure of government will. Simply because the Government is scared of upsetting anybody on this issue is not a reason why we should collaborate with them with increasing air capacity.
