Answer for The London Skills and Employment Board

Answered By:
The Mayor

The Board is currently working to develop its first Strategy for Adult Skills in London and the aim is to issue this as a consultation draft this autumn. I recognise there are unlikely to be quick fixes in addressing London's skills issues. Together with the Board I am committed to a thorough assessment of the issues and to identifying actions that can make a real difference in ensuring that all Londoners have the opportunity to gain the skills they need to participate in London's dynamic economy.
