The Metropolitan Police Service has informed me that since January 2006 it has issued a total number of 4008 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) for the offence of riding cycles on the pavement, 1963 of which have been paid.Of this total, 35 FPNs were issued in the London Borough of Croydon, 14 of which have been paid. 5 FPNs were issued in the London Borough of Sutton, 1 of which has been paid.It should be noted that a number of the notices are still being processed through the system and may subsequently be paid.
