TfL is still developing its longer-term policy on the carriage of bicycles on trains. In the meantime, TfL is working with the train operators to encourage the provision of improved facilities for cyclists to leave their bicycles at stations. The new rolling stock now being built for the London Overground network is not provided with designated accommodation for bicycles and, in the short term at least, it is expected that the existing restrictions on the carriage of non-folding bicycles will remain in force. However, this will be reviewed when the new trains come into operation.
