The 'survey' you are referring to was actually a selective use of statistics designed to give a misleading impression. Far from being worse than 10 years ago, the Tube has improved since it was transferred to Transport for London (TfL) in July 2003. London Underground is now running 20 per cent more trains and carrying 30 per cent more passengers than 10 years ago. Reliability is also better, with both track and signal failures cut.Improving the Tube and delivering increased capacity is essential for London's future prosperity and growth. This investment, and the improvements delivered, must be maintained.
