Question

Will you add your voice to those objecting to the revised Highway Code wording which says that cyclists should "use cycle facilities where possible"? Are you concerned that this will create a further barrier to cycling as it provides an escape clause for insurance companies and opens the door to inappropriate police enforcement, as many cycling facilities around the country are below standard or blocked?

Whilst I have not received any legal advice on this matter, I consider that we should not support legislation that could make it more difficult to cycle. However, I have no doubt that the Police in London will continue to enforce road traffic regulations.
