Answer for Guide Dogs

Disabled people using assistance dogs (including blind people using guide dogs, hearing dogs for the deaf and mental health companion dogs) have legal protection under the disability discrimination act and the Disability Rights Commission publish an information leaflet "know your rights" for assistance dog owners. However, I'm aware that many assistance dogs uses still experience discriminatory practice and my senior policy adviser on disability and Deaf issues has been working to raise awareness of the rights of assistance dog users.
