TfL will ensure that London Overground stations are properly staffed, starting with those on the North London Railway when it is transferred to TfL's control in November. As on the Underground, ticket barriers will be staffed (and twelve additional stations will be gated) and there will be other security measures such as CCTV, brighter lighting and Help Points. TfL will also continue to pay for the extra British Transport Police officers ' 55 at present ' already introduced onto the existing Silverlink Metro routes.
