In 2006, there were 64 articulated bus accidents reported to TfL and 689 non-articulated bus accidents involving collisions with pedestrians. In 2005, there were 27 reported articulated bus accidents and 712 non-articulated bus accidents involving collision with pedestrians. However, there were fewer articulated buses in operation in 2005 than 2006. It should be noted that the data provided by operators represents all routes in the London Buses network and does not provide a like-for-like comparison for busier inner and central London corridors where articulated buses predominate.
