Can you provide a full list of all vehicle types that will qualify for either a discount or full exemption from the congestion charge when it is extended in February?

Those vehicles that will qualify for a discount or full exemption from the extended central London Congestion Charging scheme are set out below.

Full Exemption

· Vehicles registered as Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) exempt . This category includes ambulances, police cars, fire engines and other emergency service vehicles · Powered 2 wheelers · Hackney (Black) Cabs and minicabs licensed by the Public Carriage Office · NHS vehicles registered as class 'NHSV' by the DVLA. · Vehicles used by disabled persons that are exempt from VED · Disabled passenger-carrying vehicles (e.g. Dial-A-Ride) that are exempt from VED · Licensed buses with 9+ seats · Certain operational military vehicles

Discount · Vehicles used by blue badge holders or organisations in receipt of a blue badge and registered with Transport for London (100% discount) · Electrically propelled vehicles (100% discount) · Specially adapted recovery vehicles (100% discount) · Breakdown vehicles in use to provide roadside assistance or recovery services operated by accredited organisations -e.g. AA, RAC, Green Flag (100% discount) · Vehicles used for lifeboat haulage and HM Coastguard purposes, and certain Port of London Authority vehicles in use to attend emergencies on the River Thames (100% discount) · Vehicles with 9+ seats not registered as a bus (100% discount) · Certain operational vehicles or vehicles used on operational journeys used by emergency services - NHS, fire service, police and ambulance services (100% discount) · Residents vehicles - if registered with TfL (90% discount) · Vehicles with 9+ seats (100% discount) · Powered 3 wheelers - if less that 1m wide & 2m long and registered with Transport for London (100% discount) · Vehicles registered on the fleet scheme (Discount of £1 per vehicle per day) · Alternative fuel vehicles that appear on the Powershift register and are registered with Transport for London (100% discount) · Certain operational vehicles used by the eight Local Authorities within or partly within the charging zone and the Royal Parks Agency (100% discount) · Those patients travelling to NHS appointments within the zone and are clinically certified as being unable to travel to this appointment by any other means than private transport (100% Re-imbursement)
