Question

The current stickers on the backs of bendy buses, showing a bike with a cross through it, convey a very strong anti-bike message but do not give a good indication of how road users should react. Will you ask TfL to remove these stickers and replace them with clearer signs?

The stickers you refer to were an initiative by Arriva, and only appear on buses operated by that company. TfL and Arriva reviewed the effectiveness of the sign, and concluded that the sign is not a good indication to cyclists about how they should react.Discussions have taken place with the operator and Arriva has recently agreed that the signs will be removed. If alternative warning signs are considered necessary, then a more appropriate sign will be agreed.
