Question

Following your answer to my previous question in this area, the "Buggies on Buses" page on the TfL website had changed and there is no longer a requirement for buggies to be folded when the bus is busy, and the back door boarding for double buggies is being reviewed. In the light of this are you prepared to remove the "Be Prepared to Fold it Down" posters and replace them with something more encouraging?

TfL is reviewing whether passengers with double buggies only could board through the rear doors on 2-door buses, given the difficulties some have in boarding via the front doors. A bus driver will only ask a parent with a pushchair to fold it if the buggy is too big to fit in the space available, the space is already occupied by a wheelchair user or the bus is very busy, and there has been no change to this policy.TfL's review will include consideration of how best to communicate to passengers any new policy on boarding via the rear doors, including the consideration of the use of the `Be Prepared to Fold it Down' posters.
