Question

I am concerned about safety at the bus stop on the north side of Upper Street, next to the N1 centre. Queues of bendy buses build up here, meaning that people have to walk between railings and parked buses to get on and off which becomes chaotic and dangerous, particularly when people are carrying bags and buggies, and even more so for less mobile passengers. Will you instruct TfL officers to review the suitability of this bus stop?

TfL is already looking at solutions for these very busy stops. Because of the complicated nature of the footway, there is unlikely to be a "quick fix" answer. While TfL is working to resolve the issue, bus drivers are being instructed to queue patiently when approaching the stops and only to set down or pick up passengers where it is safe to do so.
