Question

Will oyster cards be useable on the North London Line before the Olympic road closures are implemented, thus ensuring easier and less costly travel between Stratford and Hackney when buses are diverted?

It is expected that Oyster pay as you go will become operational on the North London Line in autumn 2007. This will be shortly after the planned diversion of the 276 bus route commences in July 2007. This service will continue to run between Stratford and Hackney and there will be convenient stops to serve the Carpenters Estate. The cost of the journey by bus will remain unchanged.
