Does the Mayor agree that Recommendation 1, Black Teachers in London, would put teachers off from coming to teach in London and add more bureaucratic burdens to the hiring process?

No. On the contrary, I envisage that provision of such training and support to teachers, would be a further attraction in coming to teach in London as they will know they will be supported to do their jobs. For newly-qualified teachers, existing training needs to be improved in order to remedy a situation where only a third of NQTs feel that their training is good enough to train them to teach diverse communities, as is currently the case. Much initial training is already undertaken in schools so I do not see that this would add unduly to the hiring process.
