Can you please clearly define the term `misuse' when referring to free travel for under 16's concession, a term you have consistently given as a reason for the withdrawal of the vast majority of the passes?

A `misuse' would involve a passenger using the concession in breach of the conditions of issue and the behavioural code. Such behaviour consists of offensive language and offensive behaviour, drinking alcohol, smoking, damaging the oystercard or letting others use it. The Behaviour code also includes committing a crime, ranging from theft, assault of passengers or staff, criminal damage, carrying a weapon and using or being procession illegal drugs as examples of this. Any breach of this code would result in the Oyster card being withdrawn.
